Sports centre chooses wireless DALI-replacement.
The challenge
At the DGI sports centre of Aabybro, Denmark, CEO Anders Chr. Amstrup was not satisfied with the lighting of the gymnasia. The electric expenses of the T5 lighting were too big and as the bulbs started going out, it was time for a change. 3 of the 5 gymnasia in the centre were not DALI-wired and thus the lighting could not be controlled – causing problems at e.g. parties. But installing DALI-wiring is expensive and so the CEO was looking for an alternative.
The solution
When Neoline offered LED fixtures with a wireless replacement for DALI, the wiring was no longer necessary – and the installation became more than € 16.800 cheaper. Neoline deliverede 152 LED fixtures in total to 5 gymnasia in the sports centre. This upgrade generates an annual saving of over € 25.000 on the electric bill and a maintenance saving of € 2.150 annually. On top of that, the new light is much clearer and more evenly spread out on the gymnasia floor to great satisfaction of the end users.
