The challenge
Skanlog is an international 3rd-party logistics company that takes environmental responsibility seriously. Warehouse Manager Claus Floor wanted to minimize the energy consumption of Skanlog’s warehouse in Randers, Denmark – a warehouse illuminated by fluorescent T8 tubes consuming way too much power. Claus Floor saw an opportunity to save further as the entire warehouse was constantly lit up even though parts of the building were rarely in use.
The solution
The energy consumption was minimized as the fluorescent tubes were replaced by Neoline’s Neo-Light 1500 LED fixtures – but there were more savings to come. The Neo-Light fixtures have integrated motion sensor allowing the light to be switched on only where the activity is. With an energy saving of 86 % and an annual CO2 saving of 180 tons, Skanlog can now put LED by Neoline on their list of green initiatives – and enjoy the economical advantages of proper lighting.
